The Community Energy Revolution

Utility Six CIC is a Privately Funded, Community Interest Company specifically set up to support Local Authorities and Housing Associations address the ever growing issue of fuel poverty and the challenges facing those vulnerable to living in cold conditions. The Community Energy Generation Schemes are designed to alleviate the impacts of rising energy costs and fuel poverty within both Urban and Rural Homes/Businesses.

Our funding is prepared to support both domestic and commercial members within areas designated by either to the Housing Association or The Local Authority.


Community Energy Scheme (CES) members will benefit from substantially reduced energy tariffs, subsidised by the overall Renewable Energy Generation within their CES.


The CES infrastructure and Renewable technology installed across the CES is a fully funded and maintained model run in collaboration with members of the Community and The Association or Local Authority.

Utility Six CIC as a Community Interest Company are required to ensure that a percentage of any profits from the scheme are distributed back to the community, specifically assigned to enhancing the Energy Efficiency of Housing Stock and Energy Management Education within the community, whilst also supporting Innovation and development of new and relevant technology.
